This is the Expert Edition of AI Pals Engine - created just the way people asked for as a more traditional bring-your-own AI tool. No handholding. No default LLMs. You'll need a few extra configuration steps to get started with AI, but in return, you gain complete control over every aspect. Built on the same foundation as the Steam Edition, it’s currently in Early Access and includes all core features:

If you don't intend to use the local AI and just want to make use of some of the Widgets/Avatars, a potato will do the job.

In general, you will be able to run dumb, small models. For smarter results, you'll need a good PC. You won't be able to run the largest models, as they are requiring more RAM than a typical PC gaming rig has. AI loves GPUs and the more you can fit of the model directly into the GPU's memory, the faster it runs. 10 GB is already on the low side. You'll be happier with 16 GB or more.

Keep in mind that you have to accept AI Pals Engine's EULA and that this Early Access version is not perfect.
